Whether they are issues of finance, quality, workload, or outcomes, there is no shortage of changes to be addressed.,In this Discussion, you examine a national healthcare issue and consider how that issue may impact your work setting. You also analyze how your organization has responded to this issue. To Prepare: Review the Resources and select one current national healthcare issue/stressor to focus on. Reflect on the current national healthcare issue/stressor you selected and think about how this issue/stressor may be addressed in your work setting. Most healthcare settings worldwide have not responded to the matter. Conversely, the decentralized systems continue to worsen the situation. The breach has caused numerous facilities to compromise patients’ confidential data. The issue affects the work setting in multiple ways. Some of these ways include hefty penalties imposed by the government for violating complaints standards of regulating the industry.Review of Current Healthcare Issues.,As explained by Le Bris and El Asri 2016, cybersecurity is a stressor that has been affecting healthcare for a significant period. The substantial financial impact in healthcare due to data breaches has caused facilities to play essential roles in ensuring the systems remain secure (Kruse et al., 2017). Our organization has implemented different practices to improve cybersecurity. The various methods include developing a security culture where education and training have been established. The administration advocates and facilitates good computer habits. For instance, all new employees get enrolled in training on the best practices for computer use. The facility also plans for unexpected through backing up files regularly. According to Martin et al. 2017, backing up helps in easy and quick data restoration. Besides, the information can be stored away from the central system for security purposes. Moreover, the management ensures the usage of strong passwords, which are often changed.Review of Current Healthcare Issues.,In conclusion, cybercriminals have made healthcare their prime target due to sensitive information collected from all types of patients. The issue has negatively impacted most of the facilities due to hefty penalties imposed by the government for the data breach. To combat the problem, our facility has implemented different practices to improve security. The administration has implemented new changes such as enrolling new employees in training regarding cybersecurity.
